A Roman Diesel teherautók fejlesztése elkezdődött. A Roman Dieseleket 1971-től gyártották MAN licensz alatt. Romániában sokáig szinte az egyetlen típus volt a már akkor ismert régebbi Bucegi és Carpati mellett, hiszen nem létezett import. Ma már nagyon sokféle típus van az országban, de a Roman Dieselek most is nagyon gyakoriak, még ma is elmondhatjuk, hogy ezek Románia legjellegzetesebb teherautói.
The developing of the Roman Diesel trucks started. The Roman Diesels were produced in Romania since 1971 under MAN license. This type was nearly the single in Romania with the older and already known Bucegi and Carpati, because there was no import. Now there are lots of types of trucks in the country, but the Roman Diesel is still one of the most general trucks.
